- Summer School
In 2014 the first NRSCB Summer School will be organized. At the Summer School lectures will be given by various experts on a whole range of subjects in the field of Chemical Biology. After completing the master honours program, the master students will present their research proposals at the summer school, both by giving talks and via poster presentations. The NRSCB advisory board will judge their presentations and select the best four students, who get offered a PhD position at one of the participating research groups.
Every year, from 2014 onward, a symposium will be organised. The programme of the symposium will consist of two plenary lectures given by international top chemical biology researchers, a series of invited lectures by NRSCB staff and oral presentations given by PhD students active in the research school. A poster session will be organized in the evening at which all PhD students will present their work. Master's students that have enrolled in the NRSCB programme will be invited to participate and will thus be exposed to the full breadth of chemical biology research present in NRSCB. Students that wish to apply for a PhD position will in this way be able to select the area of research for their proposal.
