The honours programme of the Netherlands Research School of Biological Chemistry is open for talented master's students that will be selected from the bachelor's students at each participating university. The enrolled students will follow one specially selected course at each participating University and will perform on of their research projects (internship) at one of the participating laboratories on a topic in Chemical Biology. Alternatively they can choose to do a research project at a University abroad. A suitable lab will be selected in consultation with the mentor and the NRSCB "executive board". At the end of their master's programme all students are encouraged to write a research proposal in the field of chemical biology. The best four proposals will be awarded a PhD position at one of the participating groups. Current PhD students are encouraged to follow the selected courses. In the summer of 2014 the NRSCB will organise their first summer school where both master's and PhD students will actively participate.
